Suggestion: STI Discussion Board

Having been involved with TER (big fan)  and the hobby for over a decade, I think it would be appropriate for TER to have a General Discussion Board specifically for topics related to STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections).  The point would be for people to educate each other about best practices to avoid infection (condoms alone aren’t enough), STI testing advice/discussion, and other related topics.

I have found that a lot of education is required to stay safe whether you are a hobbyist or provider.   It’s easy to say you can just Google such topics for yourself, but having done this many times, I have found the search results can take a long time to sort through and even consultations with physicians are helpful -  a discussion board could help find the most relevant information for our community (which let’s face it is at high risk for STI infection) and save interested TER readers a lot of time.

Take Herpes for example: did you know that there are several ways to test for it and at least one test method frequently results in false positives?  Do you know why most county health clinics in the US do not normally even test for Herpes?
