There are now three closed threads on the GD Board. I have no problem with that. The problem is, as in the past, the announcement comes at the end of a very long thread with multiple branches. If someone is reading a branch and decides to comment, they may have no idea the thread is closed, thus violating policy.
So it makes sense to put the announcement not just at the end of the thread but also at the beginning so people are less likely to violate policy.
