Suggestion and Policy

This really only applies to users of Humaniplex (HX), which is popular in the LA area. HX has been really the most (and possibly only) reliable site for providers in the two years since TER was off the grid in the US. In HX, providers put up classified ads when they're working and they also have profiles, but many providers do not list contact info on their ad or profiles. Instead, they rely on private messaging through the site, where they give out their number when scheduling appointments.

This creates a dilemma for TER reviews. Current TER policy states that you must enter a phone number for a provider AND that number must be publicly verifiable on a website or ad, or else the review will be rejected. However, for providers on HX who only provide contact info through private message, this is not possible. Thus, the current TER policy effectively renders a large number of HX providers unreviewable on the site.

Any thoughts on relaxing this requirement for a phone number to be publicly verifiable? Or anybody have suggestions around this policy? I've currently got a whole list of providers I would love to review, but most of my reviews would be rejected because of this policy. One workaround is if that same provider also advertises on other sites with public phone numbers, but many do not.

...the review FAQ's. Scroll to bottom of any page. Click "Site Map". Scroll down to Info & Policy heading. Find Review FAQ's. Scroll  way down to #5 in Guidelines for posting a review. Note it says you can enter 555 - 555 - 1212 for a phone number if you don't have one.

While this is true, the review FAQ also states "The provider being reviewed must have a current advertisement on the web that includes her name and at least one type of the following contact information: phone number, pager, email address or reservation form."

For a lot of HX providers, the only way to contact them that they list is to PM them on HX. Apparently this is not adequate for TER since I attempted to resubmit a review with the 555 phone number and got rejected again, so still stuck unfortunately.
