Suggestion and Policy

First thing I did was turn off that damn auto correct. I screw up occasionally...

I've been banned from posting for the past two weeks because I posted a photo of a young guy (age as yet unknown) wearing an afro wig and sunglasses. The photo was in Sharphedin's "Afroman" thread.

I've been searching the forum FAQ's, Info & Policies, and other sections of the site, and can't find any reference to policies on photos.

Can someone tell me where the policy I violated is posted?

Thanks.

Admin enforces at will. How you find out about the unwritten rules is by reading about them on the discussion boards or by breaking them as you apparently did. If the picture was of a minor, that is against the rules. TER is an adult sex board site and pictures and discussions of children are innapropriate.

Well, enforcing unwritten, unstated policies on a whim on a board that people pay for is a little unusual. As for the guy in the photo, it's hard to tell if he's in his late teens or early twenties. I have a call out to the manufacturer to see if I can find out. The thread had no sexual content at all. It was a head-and-shoulders shot of a guy wearing an afro wig and hippie sunglasses. Not exactly porn

Does TER give warnings? That is not my experience but I could be wrong.

Sharphedin posted photos of AA guys that I thought were unflattering, and I believe his intent would be regarded by many as being racist. I posted a photo of a 20 year old guy wearing an afro wig and sunglasses. An admin thought the guy was under 18, and so banned me. Sharphedin was not banned.

Why would I want to pay for this?

He's not really banned. He lost his posting priveledges for a week. Boohoo. Cry me a river. Did anybody miss him?
It takes a really serious offense for TER to actually ban someone.

BFD. Is that the end of thd world? Were you still able to read reviews? Isn't that what people pay for? Nobody pays to be able to post on the public forums.

#2) skarp (and it is skarp, not sharp) also has lost his posting priveledges in the past. I'm not sure if he lost it for the same thread but I know he has also been "banned" as you called it.

If posting privileges aren't any big deal, then why are they only available to VIP members? Just about every forum I'm aware of is free. Here you have to pay to post.

Don't you ever get pissed off about something because it's wrong, or do you just smile and take it up the ass?

BTW, it's "privileges", and not "priveledges".  Next time you buy a computer or new OS, spring for spell-check.

...Reviewers only and Providers only boards. Vip is required to see certain parts of the ladies profiles and to use the PM system but posting on the boards is absolutely free. Vip is required to use the search by reviewer function but posting on the boards cost nothing. I'm sure I'm leaving something out but I have no doubt that posting on any board excluding the RO and PO is a privilege afforded any non paying member of TER.

I'd rather have incorrect spelling on a few words than completely wrong words thrown in by the iphone. Have you not seen those "damn you autocorrect" bits all over the internet?

Where the heck did you get the idea that you had to be a paid member to post on the boards? That has never been true.
The exception is that you need VIP to have an alias and 89springer is your alias. Maybe that's your confusion. You can post under your username as a free basic member.

No I don't take things up the ass, but I accept that sometimes things just "are the way they are" and don't go around crying like a whiny bitch about everything.

Of course there are other restrictions for joining those boards, but VIP membership is definitely not one of them.
As you mentioned, VIP is required to read juicy details and certain parts of the provider profiles, for access to certain search features, and for using PMs. The thing that you left out is use of an alias.

I wasn't thinking and completely by passed that once you have the required number of reviews (and TER deems you qualified) you can post on the RO board whether you are a VIP member or not. Same for the ladies. I'll blame it on a senior moment. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
