When Manager Ozzie Guillen was asked who was starting on Saturday, he reluctantly mentioned Contreras and added, “I don’t have any choices. None are good.” Earlier this week, Guillen said he would have a heart attack if he had to start Contreras.
I'm guessing Contreras will be designated very soon...or when Peavy is ready.
those were the rumblings earlier in the week. I'm surprised they've stuck with him this long. He's like Levan Hernandez. No one knows how old he really is, or how long he's been pitching.
