I'm beginning to wonder if the Yanks will ever figure out how to use Joba Chamberlain. He came out of the game with the White Sox today after 3 innings and 35 pitches. I know they want to keep him fresh for the playoffs, but at some point in time, they're going to have to start grooming him to go more than 5 or 6 innings. Of course, I'm old school and long for the days of pitchers throwing 12-15 complete games a year or more.
can tell, they haven't made the slighest bit of difference to his performance. Furthermore, why just him? I don't see "rules" for anybody else. IMHO, in the long run it will just fuck up his head. Let him pitch - none of this "prima donna" stuff.
He seems like nothing but a bunch of hype to me. The media's been covering this guy like he was the next great pitcher in the game and I don't see it.
