I don't even know my fav team anymore. With this transfer portal and players going here and there after a year, where's the commitment, the loyalty. Yesterday watching the USC Stanford game. USC has 19 new transfers and most at key positions while Stanford only has one. I don't mind the NIL rule, been long over due..but this transferring in fuck up.
The programs that have a good development system are loosing less players. I think for the lower division programs nothing much will change, as they are usually built on home state and talent that does not go to camps to get rated.
The bigger schools with bigger boosters are going to be the ones in that are going to have alot of players coming and going via the transfer portal. Look at what happen at CU, Coach Prime is building his team out of the portal and thus far CU has 71 players hit the portal. From the reports the majority wa told to hit the portal by Coach Prime and his staff.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Coach Ego get his butt kicked the last half of Colorado's season last year. That Big Mouth and Big Ego thought he could buy a real football team, but found out that he couldn't relive his youth through his sons and other players (ringers) he imported. It was karma in action to see the TV cameras focusing on so many smiling Hollywood celebrities and ex-NFL athletes with their expensive bling on roaming the sidelines when they were winning... and then towards the end of their losing season not a single celebrity in site... only a couple of kids from the photography class taking a few photos. Yep... karma for Coach Ego. I made a lot of money betting against the Rams and hope this year will be the same.
