Yankees-Twins, Game 2

Jorge Posada showed his real "sense of team spirit" when Giradi announced that Jose Molina would start and catch A.J. Burnett. Posada was miffed that he wasn't starting, and seemed to overlook the fact the Burnett has a better record with Molina behind the plate, and his ERA is over a run and a half lower. Maybe Giradi should start Molina for the rest of the series!

Gotta love your Minnesota Twins :)

But in the context of your post, my appreciation for "The Twins" has grown immensely!

;)

Nice photo Anya.  Loose one or two more buttons next time and I won't care WHAT team uniform you're wearing!  Even the Yankees.

I didn't want to hear or read anything about that f****** Major League team from Minnesota, since they just broke my Tiger's heart (wrapped in a Capital's hide). I'm not sure why I clicked on this thread.  Perhaps reading the name "Anya" had something to do with it. But I'm sure glad I did...

Your Twins gave me a new perspective on your Twins.  I'll definitely be cheering them on to ultimate victory!

hoping to be your bat boy....

It sounds like Posada didn't make a huge deal of it.  He simply voiced his frustration at not being in the starting line-up.

If you know anything about the mental and emotional make-up of top athletes, you will realize that they all believe that they are capable of helping their team at any time.  And the best of them desire/hunger for their chance to prove themselves on the bigger stage.

I respect Posada for wanting to play and for not making a bigger deal of it.  The media simply wanted a story to run with.  He didn't give them very much.
