Seattle fired head coach Jim Mora today and ESPN is reporting that Pete Carroll has expressed a high level of interest in the job. He would also take his offensive coordinator, Jeremy Bates, with him. Why would Carroll want to go back to the NFL? He already has a pro team at Southern Cal and can basically dictate his salary. Maybe the NCAA investigations are finally getting too close to home.

He did a great job but lost last 4 games and was fired. He is thanking god for being fired by the Jets. Many people have achieved greatness after leaving the Jets: Bill Bellichick, James Farrior, John Riggins, Buddy Ryan..Pete Carroll.

source when it comes to coaching changes.  They were the ones who reported that Les Miles was going to Michigan.  Having said that, maybe this IS a case of the fox fleeing the coop!

Yes, I remember that little faux pas. But their always the firstest with the mostest, if not always the bestest.

The LA Times is reporting that no contract has been signed but a deal has been reached with Carroll --  five years at $7 million a year to become the Seahawks president and head coach.
