Does Kazmir help push the Angels over the top this year?regular_smile

Santana has looked more like his old self the last couple of starts, and between him, a healthy Kazmir, Weaver, Saunders, and Lackey, this is likely the only team that could beat the Yank-me's.

As much as I hate rooting for an LA team, they are now my best hope to see the Yank-me's and their home run launching pad new ballpark not win the World Series this year.  It sure won't be the Tiggers (or the Wet Sox), and the Red Sox are the Red Sux at this point...and Texas' pitchers won't be able to keep this up.

As for the National League, they won last year because they had a team they matched up well against in Tampa Bay-bies (who just signaled they are throwing in the towel trading Kazmir).  Even with Cliff "Sabathia 09" Lee pitching like Sandy Koufax, the Phillies pitching staff isn't going to keep up with the AL hitters, and the Dodgers are too inconsistent still.  In a way, I think the Cardinals probably would have the best chance in the NL, but their pitchers would all have to pitch like Carpenter (who has got to be the emotional CY Young fave at this point) for them to win it, because their hitters are inconsistent.

So, I would say it will be the Yank-me's or the Angels.

(swallowing hard) Go LA!

Christ...9-0, some no-name pitcher throwing a one hitter for them.

their chances of taking the West, but his ERA is over 5.00 and he hasn't been as consistent as he was last year. But you never know; a change of scenery might be what the doctor ordered.
