I watched the second half.  Great game.  I'm not a big fan of either team, but a great job by SC.

...another 3 point buzzer beater by Parsons to steal another win. I think he had 36 (the rest of his teanm had 20)! He reminds me of Chris Jackson of LSU in the 80's how he could dominate a game by himself...the dude's only 5-8 or 5-9, lol....

the jinx of being ranked #1. The last three teams that have been ranked at the top (Kansas, Texas, Kentucky) were knocked off the week they were announced as #1. The only time being #1 matters is after the last game.

why - he hit only 6 of 16 shots and had 4 turnovers against only two assists.

Meanwhile, Patrick Patterson - a guy strong enough to overpower all of the SC playes - took only 4 shots. The whole justification of being a point guard is get the ball to big men in scoring position. But for a great game by Counsins, Kentucky would have lost badly to a South Carolina team that lost to ...Wofford?

and done. All he cares about is showcasing himself for the NBA. It's too bad Jodie Meeks didn't come back. Kentucky would have been a more stable team with him. Wall has them playing out of control.

Downey made some incredible shots but his control of the ball and affecting the tempo of the game was more impressive. He was only 9 of 29 from the field, 31%, but made the tough ones down the stretch.
Chris Jackson was as good as I've ever seen in the SEC. I remember him shooting jumpers out by the old five second line. When he crossed half court he was in range! Could have played for a long time in the NBA but his Muslim beliefs cost him his career...in my opinion.

of people forget that he had a pretty good center on his team his senior year - Shaquille O'Neal. Plus LSU had Stanley Roberts, another hullking 7 footer who would play in the NBA.

Hard to believe that with that much talent they did so poorly in the NCAA tournament - a testament largely to the coach who could not figure out how to employ the awesome talent he had.

Yeah, Dale Brown was a real meathead on the bench. Great recruiter, bad bench coach.

Ditto that Penny! That's one record that will stand the test of time. Great players always leave after a year or two now so we'll probably never see anyone else score over 3 or 4,000 points again. Oh, and by the way, he did it in three years!

Hi, Mookie,
Jackson was a great one-he also had severe problems with Tourette's Syndrome, which I believe also led to a shortened career-Later, 1rob...and I'll pull for your 'Cats as long as they aren't playing Duke....OUT  8-)

Yeah, due to his faith he probably stopped taking his meds. Even with his meds, remember how he used to make all those weird facial expressions, particularly with his eyebrows?

They played at Kentucky one time and one of the Kentucky guards kinda pressed Pete while he brought the ball up the court just to piss him off cause the Cats were winning by about 20. After they crossed half court, the Ky player turned to trot back to get into his zone defense position. Pete stopped his dribble, threw a chest pass that hit the Ky player in the ass, picked up the deflected ball and threw in a left handed hook shot....from 25 feet! LOL!
Amazing that he accomplished all he did on the court with a defective heart valve.

Actually the lawsuit is over the usage of SC and  not USC concerning the interlocking "S.C." logo ;)
