The word is out that this may be the last season for Doc Rivers as coach of the Celtics. His only comment was that he hadn't decided yet. Rivers has three offspring that are seniors next year, 2 in college and 1 in high school. Guess he wants to be there when they graduate.

The one in high school is one of the nation's best basketball players and will be a 4 star recruit-Florida has the inside track now, but Duke is rumored to be in the mix-The kid is terrific and can score from anywhere and his team was state champ in Fla- As a proud papa, I'm sure Doc would like to be there for his son's senior season.
Boston has gotten very old and IMHO, no longer has a chance currently for NBA titles. Certainly, if Rivers resigns, these will be likely factors in his decision.

I, for one, would welcome him onto the Bulls bench if he decides to keep coaching.

Well, it looks like there will be a vacancy in Chicago after the playoffs, and Rivers is a Windy City native. Who knows?

is also in the mix and my guess is that it will come down to Duke or UNC.  Florida is a football school and will not reach the basketball heights of the 04's again.  Billy doesn't have the recruiters on his staff to make it happen.

The Clippers are looking for a coach, if Doc is interested in masochism.

Yes, he can coach one of the worst teams and work for the worst owner.
