As for the Heisman, my vote goes to TOBY GERHART!

I agree 100%.  Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow probably took themselves out of the picture with today's performances and Gerhart's numbers are so far beyond Mark Ingram's that it's hard to understand why Ingram is getting such serious consideration.

Gerhart is a great player but played for a good but not great team and it's rare when the Heisman goes to a player on a team that doesn't contend for the National Championship-though Paul Hornung comes to mind. McCoy or Ingram will get it. Also, wish they'd wait until after the National Championship game before the selection.

The best player in college football throughout the 2009 season has been Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska.  Last evening, he almost single-handedly stopped Texas.  The fact that the Cornhuskers' offense is pitiful is the only reason UT will advance to the National Championship game, where Alabama will roll over the over-rated Longhorns.  The Heisman Trophy should go to Suh, however he won't stand a chance as the award will once again go to a quarteback or a running back.  Come April of 2010 and the NFL draft, Suh will be selected before any of the players that are being considered for the Heisman Trophy.

I think Gerhart deserves it, the Heisman is not a lock for a QB or running back.  Charles Woodson, Desmond Howard and Leon Hart come immediately to mind as players who won the Heisman and weren't QBs or running backs.

He's one of those guys who just grabs 3 or 4 guys at a time and seperates them until he finds the ball carrier! LOL! He's a beast!

McCoy and Ingram may be playing for a national championship but unlike Gerhart they didn't play in the toughest conference in college football this year.
