Re: *AHEM*...Had you perhaps forgotten some catcher who played in New York getting the nod as well?
Congratulations to Ken Griffey JR's enshrinement into Major League Baseball's Hall-of-Fame. One of my favorite all-time players; I cannot wait till July 24th when I will get to hear this fabulous player's induction speech in person. It will be a great day, and I will proudly be displaying my #24 Mariners' jersey.
Well-deserved selection.
You know, that one dude? Got half a bat thrown at him by some roided out pitcher? Hit this home run in New York after 9/11? All that good stuff? What was his name again?
Wasn't it Pizza Man, or something like that?
But my major beef with him is that I wished he would have been more "fan" friendly..It always bugged me when during warm ups, he would totally ingnore all the fans,my son being a major fan of his. He'd walk by with a punkish smirk...A-Rod was a class act, signed before all the games I went to, And I went to alot of games.
Along with Wes Parker, Sandy Koufax and Mike Piazza....and yes my butt is hurt BIG TIME because he isn't going in as a Doyer...But I get what happened between him and Fox.
