1.  Pac-10       16

2.  ACC          11

3.  Big Ten      10

4.  SEC           9

5.  Big 12        5

As you might suspect, the Pac-10 is virtually all UCLA.

who gave the greatest personal advice and had the greatest influence on my personal athletic career-that being 'If you fail to prepare, you can prepare to fail.'  I love the man and he'll always have a special place in my heart. He sadly is not going to be around much longer. What a great man and teacher.
On the lighter side, there was an alumni for UCLA, who really took care of the players during the long National Championship Run-the rumor was that the players hated to graduate and go to the NBA because they didn't want to take the pay cut.

As a UCLA alum, I have been spending this year putting my hands over my eyes when they play. It's not just UCLA, but the whole PAC-10 sucks. If only Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook would have stayed through their junior season. God how I hate this whole one and done shit.

...Ucla, Kentucky, & N. Carolina from the math (ok, count 1 victory each) how the conferences rate, just curious, & way too lazy to look up & do the math......

has only won 5.  Eliminate North Carolina, and the ACC has won 6.  Eliminate Kentucky, and the SEC has only won 2.  Just for completeness, eliminate Indiana, and the Big Ten has won 5.

Only an ACC guy would think that!  Remember, the ACC has won ONLY one more championship than both the Big Ten and the SEC, and is FIVE behind the Pac-10!

In football playing Tulane is pretty much considered a Bye Week.  The bright side is the school has fought hard against the BCS and still believes that they are students first, then athletes. And our academics are pretty good.

But it is little consolation when you get your ass kicked on a routine basis

back then, there was no travel outside of your region for the NCAA tournament.  The championship game was always East vs. West with UCLA representing the West all those years.  There was no other strong power west of the Mississippi.

Now, the teams are all mixed up geographically regarding the region assignments in the Sweet 16.  Yes, they use the pod system to try to place seeds #1 through #4 close to home for the 1st and 2nd rounds.

For 2010, after the 1st and 2nd rounds, either Syracuse or Villanova will be out west for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds.  My seeds are 1-Kansas, 2-Kentucky, 3-Villanova and 4-Syracuse.
