has never pitched on short rest in his career, plus he's pitched 265 innings, counting playoffs. That's only 6 more than Sabathia, but Carlsten Charles has done it frequently and probably knows how to better prepare for it.

Not giving Lee 3 starts in the Series is a big EFF U, IMHO-The Yanks are the better team and not to give your best pitcher 3 shots-if it goes that long-is ludicrous-Back in the day, the best hurler went 3 times-Sabathia is going for the Yanks-Unless there's something wrong with Lee, which I doubt, this is another case of overmanaging-Lee is a pro athlete and a man-what are you saving him for-spring training? 1rob...disgusted with this decision....OUT

Even I (at my age) can go on 3 days rest, and get a hone run or two.

Thank you

HI, Penny,
If a pro athlete can't go on 3 days rest, he's a pussy-again, over managing in my book-Lee was dominating and gives the Phils their best chance-though slim-to win-Sabathia's going on 3 days rest, but according to Manuel, Lee can't handle it-BEE ESS-Champions get it done at crunch time and losers don't-He can rest for 5 months-Mickey Lolich, who had the physical conditioning of the Pillsbury Dough Boy, won 3 for the Tigers in 68-pitching on short rest-I guess Mr. Manuel wouldn't have let him go but twice-1rob...I think you blew it, Charley...still disgusted...OUT

guys like Bob Gibson, Juan Marichal, Sandy Koufax ad Don Drysdale going on 3 days rest throughout their whole careers. But it was a different era, one we'll never see again. We may not see a 20-game winner again for a while.
