The Minnesota Timberwolves recently hired Bill Laimbeer as an assistant coach. Laimbeer won 3 WNBA titles, but (I think) was not a serious candidate for any of the open NBA jobs. I hope he does well and lands a head job someday. Should be interesting to see how he does.
Interesting piece on Laimbeer on ESPN's "Outside The Lines". Charles Barkley said if he was running a team, he would put Laimbeer at the top of his coaching search list without reservation. The most interesting thing is the thought that some owner would be drunk/desperate enough to put Charles Barkley in charge of their team.
that the whole current roster can play with the heart and passion Rambis and Laimbeer brought to the game; they left it all on the court.
get it out of them, it's Rambis and Laimbeer.
I'm all for Rambis. I was never a fan of Laimbeer. I use to throw darts on his card.
