I'm hardly a Dallas fan but both were terrific- I give the edge to Staubach-he was quite mobil and much more so than Troy-and he was so clutch when the game was on the line-he sent my beloved Redskins down many a time with come from behind wins-a great leader and winner-1rob
He had more character and wasn't whiney. And he was Navy. A true american hero
won, of course, and Staubach did things I haven't seen since, like a 60 yard, across the field JUMP pass while running to his LEFT! I had a perfect view of that pass from my seat, and I STILL can't believe he did that! It went for a TD, of course, as the Michigan defense was caught flat-footed in disbelief! Greatest pass I ever saw!
Staubach, just imagine what he could have done if he didn't have the 4 yr commitment after graduating from the Naval Academy, and had been able to go directly to the NFL!
