This may be the "homer" in me, but being a fellow Michigander, I always loved listening to any sporting event covered by Mr. Enberg (Michigan native and Central Michigan University alum).  Whether it was Wimbledon, college or pro football, or especially baseball (7 years as a San Diego Padres announcer), his voice made the occasion truly exceptional.  

He will be sorely missed.

Loved Dick Enberg-great voice ...certainly a Hall of Famer.....My first encounter with him was when I was in Korea in 1970-Armed Forces TV piped in fights from the old Olympic Auditorium and Dick was the announcer-One of the Best Ever!!!!!  We'll miss you, Buddy
