I got what I asked for

Yesterday, all I was hoping for was for Tiger to be on the first page of the leaderboard, and that is just where he is.

This is the first golf tournament in months that I have cared about, and it's all due to Tiger. I even went out on a limb a little and put a few hundred bucks on Tiger to win it. lol

It's shaping up to be a great weekend of golf.

and I don't just mean Tiger.

You've got a 60 year old major champion (Watson), a 50 year old major champion (Couples), an almost 40 year old major champion (Mickelson) and of course, a 34 year old that has not played for 30 weeks.

Tiger shot his first-ever opening round at the Masters under 70. He also missed 3-4 puts that looked in all the way. Anyone that thinks he is not the favorite is just not paying attention.

Tiger was well received and commented after his round that he did not hear a single derisive comment. True golf fans do not care who he was fucking.

If this keeps up, the 2010 Masters will be must-see TV.

Smart bet on Tiger. Say anything you want about him, but he could fall out of bed @ 3:00AM, and he probably has with a few girls, and still shoot a 68.

I took a little action on Couples and Hunter Mahan. Couples is ripping it up on the Champions, and at 50 can still hit it a country mile. What a great swing. Unfortunately he fell back today. I like Mahan's game. Lee Westwood looks like a NASCAR. His shirt is covered in ads.

This will be fun to watch this weekend especially with Mickelson in the hunt.

Tiger laying two strokes back on a Friday should be a scary thing for the rest of the field. It should be a great weekend of golf.

Wonder how K.J. feels about a third straight day of being paired with the Tiger.  He's doing well, though.  And Mickelson will remain with Yang.  Rather unusual.

Mickelson and Woods have always been a good pairing...CBS wouldn't have shown ANYBODY else!! It almost happened.

So does anyone else think TER sponsored those flown banners yesterday?  I suspect the Augusta National Board of Directors made a couple phone calls about  THAT!  LOL

Just ask Kenny Perry, ly runner up.
