seen Jackie Robinson and the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers play at Ebbets Field (many times), and once saw (my first MLB game) both Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio play at Yankee Stadium.  I can remember listening on the radio the night Ezzard Charles beat Joe Louis, and I can remember (both vividly and sadly) Dick Sisler's 9th inning HR to beat the Dodgers for the NL pennant in 1950, and even more memorably, Bobby Thomson's 9th inning HR off Ralph Branca in 1951 to beat the Dodgers for the NL pennant in 1951.

Is there anyone else on this board who was around for this stuff besides me?  Am I the oldest of the old farts around here?  Say what you want, but they were glorious times!

your historical moments.

Stan Musual played in the first baseball game I ever saw.  Witnessed the Eagles beat the Packers in 1960 to win the NFL title, before it was called the Super Bowl and vagley remember the infamous Giants vs. Colts game that put the NFL on the map.
