up on Navy.  What goes around comes around.

Even the worst of ND coaches beat Navy now Charlie Weis, the offensive mastermind brought in to bring back the glory, has lost to them not once but twice.  5 yrs with top 5 recruiting classes each year and the Middies have hung 2 losses on them in 3 yrs.

Padded schedules against soft teams to get in BCS games only works in the Big Ten.

press conference. he said that navy played the game the right way, and added that he wasn't going to change the way he coaches. If he makes it past this year, it'll be a huge surprise.

happened? How much money did Michigan give Coach Rodriquez anyway? Did U of M have to pay a buyout? I always thought Coach Rodriquez made a mistake when he left West Virginia. He had everything he wanted with the Mountaineers.

others aren't.  The offense isn't the problem - hell, Michigan leads the Big Ten in scoring!  However, there is NO defense, as the record proves.  What seems to be bothering people the most is Rodriguez's ever increasing comments about how much worse things were up in Ann Arbor than he expected.  It's like he's implicitly putting the blame on Lloyd Carr for his lack of success, which is utter bullshit.  The recruiting of defensive players seems to be suffering because of Rodriguez, and I can't say that I know why.

Michigan gave Rodriguez a competitive salary, and wound up paying 60% of his buyout simply to end that mess.  Certainly Rodriguez didn't have everything he wanted with West Virginia, because otherwise he would not have left.

refering to the fact he was able to get top-notch recruits at West Virginia and also the job security. He could lose for several years at West Virginia and the fans would still support him. Michigan is tough and high profile.

There was a alumus who is the president and owner of a large construction firm (don't know him personally) who said if Rodriquez wanted more money all he had to do was ask.

left West Virginia, and I'm not at all sure that all the details surrounding his departure are known publically.  I certainly don't understand all the nuances involved.  I'm just wondering if Pat White had a much greater impact on Rodriguez's success than people assume.

no drafted into the NFL. Notre Dame is in the top ten in recruiting year after year. Jim Clausen is a 1st rounder QB. Notre Dame's Offensive line must average at least 25-50 pounds more than the Midshipmen's defensive line. Yet! Yet! Navy were winning the line of scrimmage because they were getting off the ball lower and quicker.

Discipline! what a beautiful thing to see.

than the complaining about Rodriguez in Ann Arbor.  At least that's the current situation.
