Not even talking about the call being changed. How the hell can a major league ump miss that call when you consider how he was positioned?

Glad it was correctly reversed.blown ump calls have cost teams World Series-eg. The infamous Don Denkinger in 85-The more replay the better, IMHO-yet there are 'purists' who say bad calls are part of the game..to which I say 'balderdash,' horse feathers', and 'bullspit'! Getting it right is the priority-the game should be determined by the players, not some overpaid official who doesn't get it done-some incompetent calls such as last night's are mindboggling-and it was great that it was reversed-
Another pet peeve is the umpire who ''has his own strike zone'' When an ump calls a pitch 4-6 inches outside a strike and does so consistently, he should be run out of the game-There, I feel better.... 1rob....in a venting mood...out
The worst job of having a "personal strike zone" was in the 1997 NLCS between Atlanta and Florida. Livan Hernandez struck out 15 Braves in Game 5, mostly because of Eric Gregg's over-generous strike zone. It solidified Gregg's reputation as one of the worst umpires ever.
