Barkley is a very smart and talented QB, but he is only a freshman. This reminds me of when Carroll gave the nod to Leinart, a sophmore, over Matt Cassell back in 2004, and look what happened? I know, Cassell had a breakout season with the Patriots, and Leinart is all but forgotten. Barkely will do OK in the first game against San Jose State, but the following week he is Columbus Ohio to play OSU.
