design.lust in NYC was a Provider - Player. Her Profile includes some 9s and 10s but it does not include her FIDE ranking which was probably much higher than a 9 or 10.

I met her years ago at an M&G.

She was cute, as I recall. I think she fucked some guy in the bathroom of the hotel suite. No chess was involved, however.

Oops.

The rule that sticks in my mind after all these years is “queen on her color”. And of course the light squares belong in the right hand corners.

However, if my opponent looks like that, she can set up the board any way she damn well pleases. Since we won’t get past the opening. On the chess board, I mean.
