A frantic conversation with someone we know!sad_smile

Guys,
I had a frantic conversation with someone who is being harassed because of the reviews she asked NOT be written. She is possibly getting out and leaving us forever.

We have situations when people don't want to be reviewed. If they ask you not to review them, consider their situation also. I understand what this board is for, but think about what we are doing. We have people that are running away from what they are doing because of too much exposure or harassment from others.

We constantly complain about not having quality people, yet we do things to drive them away when we find them. Think about it?

Is your review that important that you want to prevent others from having a great experience also? Or in this case chase away someone whom is of great quality here in SD.
Use personal mail to get info from others on this board. Don't scare away the ones we are all trying to keep.

I'll get off of my soapbox now.

Good points. Question for staff - do you remove reviews if a provider requests it?

Staff- If I provider wishes to have reviews removed becouse of contents we should honor the request. The providers are human beings just like those of us who review them. Most removes are done tastfully for everyones enjoyment. On occassion an ex-boyfriend will post a review to get the girl in trouble, this hobby is about having a good time and enjoying each others company. Lets all try to remember that.

If the provider doesn't want to be reviewed, she can ask TER to not post any reviews.  As long as she is not a ripoff, they will comply.  My guess is if she has some reviews posted already she could still ask to have them removed and to not accept any more reviews.  I don't necessarily agree with it, but that is the policy.

Vantana is correct.  If a provider is not a rip-off and requests their reviews removed, we comply.  Amazingly enough, when our members stop calling them, they usually ask them put back up (about 80%)

It happens a couple of time a week, a provider will get upset that a review has been posted, not realizing that a large number of the calls she is getting are due to the review.  She asks for its removal.  The phone calls stop.  She asks the reviews back up.

It is a business and in this case, you are the customer, you control the situation.

Seems that if a provider wants no reviews, perhaps she should not advertise in a public forum either.  Why should the anonymity only be a one way street?

We the customer do not really control the situation if the provider can block all reviews.

Just MHO.

IMHO
The difference is: a graphic description that is often allowed to include security measures, location information, and references to what could be said to be an illicit transaction are NOT linked to a picture and phone number of the CLIENT. All you have is a username--you are, and always will be anonymous!

I think that offering one's companionship is VERY different than allowing a `review' that explicitly states XXX fee was paid for `Escort and anal' etc. These reviews, often times, do NOT say that fees were paid for companionship--but often indicated that different fees may be given for different sexual acts.

Why can't there just be a mutual respect, here--if she's not a rip-off, shows respect for your privacy, and doesn't want reviews--what's the problem?

I agree with Ventana, because these providers are advertising on the very forum they do not want to be reviewed...  A PUBLIC ONE!

It is ridiculous to think the LE is naive to think that just because a woman is not reviewed, they can't nail her anyway.  As long as she is advertising, she is a target of they really want to get her.  No tonly that guys, we too can be a target.

I see many reviews of ladies who - not necessarily ripoffs in terms of stealing money - are extremely overrated and charge "LA" supermaodel rates, when in fact, they are not even worth half this amount.  They are rated as "8" or "9" when they are no more than a "4" or "5" anywhere else on this planet!  I sometimes wonder if the reviewers are blind or are happy to be with any woman at all, thus grossly distorting the numbers.

Even half of the "LA" rates ($100-$150) is pretty damn good money... who would turn down their current job if it paid this amount?

I will be more than happy to be specific with some names if you guys want me to....

The problem is that providers who give adequate service but wish to remain unreviewed can be perceived as comparable to highly regarded providers who ARE reviewed.  They have the best of both worlds - a non-negative reputation AND a lack of documented actions.  This creates a "mystique" factor.  They can therefore charge at the high end of market rate because there is no basis for comparison.

I say publish reviews if they publish their advertisements!

....because I want to know what to expect. There is a provider that I refuse to see mainly because she has no reviews posted. I have no idea what to expect from her. I don't know if her pictures are accurate or if she has a good attitude and really enjoys what she does. I hate untrimmed pussy and I don't know what hers is like because there are no reviews.

if there arnt reviews and you want to see a girl can't you ask back channel if someone has seen her

vantana18386 reads

That only works if the back channel reviewer has seen other reviewed providers to provide some frame of reference as to their rating style.
