The article that was linked to a recent post mentioned the penalties that providers face when caught by LE. However, it didn't mention what a hobbyist will go through.
I am aware of the potential to lose your car when street walkers are in question -- but what are the fines, processes, etc. with incall & outcall?
Can someone please enlighten me what the legal ramifications are here in San Diego?

The law does not discriminate. The penalties are the same, regardless of gender. Read the Legal Board, or reference the California Penal Code Section 647(B) to learn more.
Here's a short list - Handcuffed, a night in jail, $2,000 bail (cost is $200 through a bondsman, free if you call your wife!),
attorneys fees of 1-1,500 if you choose to fight (no plea bargains these days), Probation and "Aids Awareness" classes if you lose (first offense), and a permanent arrest record for "prostitution" (yes, the same as if you were pulling a train in Hillcrest) if you "win". Not sure about fines etc, my friend who went through this actually "won".
If I am not mistaken,,your car is also impounded. This might just be the case if you are trying to p/u off the streets.
Not worth taking the chance to me.
What if you set up a session/date with someone and then pop over the border and have the date. can u still get in trouble even in different country?? comming back to the USA.
I'm no legal authority, but I would suspect that *technically* you would both be breaking some friggin law or another (these days, can't avoid that just stepping out of bed in the morning). However, I doubt you would ever get popped for it. I have thought of this possibility myself... but doubt too many (any?) SD providers would go for it... at least not w/o tacking on a substantial sum to their fee.
I would just see a hooker in TJ. Over there it is legal and they have plenty of lovely ladies to choose from. Just my opinion. The ladies over here are lovely but I personally would not want to go through the stress of getting arrested.
