San Diego providers Blake and Jess receive reviews of 7-7 and 6-7 respectively from an individual who has only two reviews.  Blake has only one other review, from an individual who has only one review total, and he rates her a 5-1.  Jess has two other reviews, one is a 6-1 from someone who has seen at least one well-reviewed provider (giving her a rating of 9-9), and who gives his only other review an 8-9.  That girl's only other two reviews are 9-1 and 6-1.  Are these guys all on drugs, or are many of these reviews bogus?

I know where you're coming from... I recently found a false review from a guy who had over 20 reviews to his name. Until then I had thought that quantity meant reliability (ok, so call me stupid). Now I find myself wondering whether the reviews I read are real... which kinda negates the whole point of this board!

same here. I got burned by a member with a significant number of reviews. I took his word a provider was FS and she was anything but. I even emailed him and i think he knew that I knew what he had done. Sad state of affairs my fellow hobbyists. A very sad state.

I don't want to sound "uninformed"...but what exactly does YMMV
mean??

All these abbreviations can get to be a bit much...

I am always extremely cautious about reviews. If a provider
only has one review it seems to me that the chances that review
are bogus are significantly higher.

I read all of the review. I compare to all of the other reviews
for that provider. I look for possible inaccurate basic information.
I also look for the possibility that the reviewer created their review out of previous reviews or the providers web information.

There are a few providers that I suspect of trying to pull something over on TER and its users. I've told them of my suspicions and they have been very responsive.

It's all we can do. Reviewers here should continue to post reviews
and look for fraud. Report it to TER and each other.
