I know life can be irritating. Totally: it can be annoying being woken by a newborn or having less time to spear fish or whatever is bothering some users but this is a forum where we are (hopefully) trying to have fun and make connections.

If you think my post was off-base, then why don't you explain to the class why it IS any of his business whether you're low-volume or not?  Maybe you can explain it in a nicer way, but you're probably going to end up in the same place with me.

If you really want this board to be all about fun, don't say things like "some users are irritated..."  It comes off as a very targeted insult.  

And for what it's worth, if a provider's volume bothers you, you're in the wrong hobby.  I don't care what her ad says, itm's very hard to find someone who will turn away money.

Let's be real about the situation.  There is a history between some of those whom post on this board.  It's not something new and has existed for some time.  I've reached the point that I just disengage.  It's not worth my time to get into an exchange.

Some of the other boards have figured that out.  That's why one day you'll see me in a flame war with somebody and the next day we are buds yukking it up.  Too many here in SD seem to harbor long-term grudges and have little to no sense of humor.  THESE are the people that seem perpetually irritated.  

I'm outspoken and opinionated, like others here, and I will challenge people to justify their POSITION when I don't agree, as I expect other will do with me.  Its not personal, its just me asking you to support what you say with a reasoned argument.  That's what debate and a lively exchange is all about.  I don't go personal unless someone does it to me first.  

This board would be more fun if many here loosened up a little and didn't take themselves so seriously.  I stayed away for awhile when incallman retired, and noticed many of the great posters here left too, leaving the board circling the drain.  I would encourage those locals here to get involved and lets have some lively discussions.  Its NOT personal, its just entertainment.
