What is the advantage to booking direct with some providers that are now charging the same for a direct book as an agency book?  Why do they even bother offering the direct method if there is no savings?  Direct bookings usually offer more bang for your buck so to speak which is why many only book direct.

The advantage is that all the money goes directly to the provider --so she has greater incentive to provide better service. Most tend to offer discounts anyway, you just need to talk to them.

If I am going to be charged the exact same price whether I book independently or not by the same provider, I am going to a different provider. The advantage of going to someone booking independently is that you should be able to get lower prices since the provider is pocketing the entire fee... If that advantage is eliminated I don't see what other advantage there is, other than the girl being independent controls her time, and your bucks might go alittle further...

Because the girl has more room to negotiate... don't always accept a first quote.

Can the agencies be negotiated with? I think I remember hearing that the best time to negotiate was when they were on tour. If the bookings are not coming in as hoped they might be more willing to come down on prices.. Any words of wisdom on this?

I see what you mean. I don't have both sides of the story, but maybe because of his stature as a hobbyist he has influence and clout with agencies that most of us would not have.

In any event, I think it would be helpful to us out here that if we decide to go through an agency to see a particular girl, we get pointers on how to navigate through them..

Just wanted to state that Eddie has given tips on how to negotiate fares if you are booking directly or, if you are going through an agency. You just have to search for his reviews and comments on this board.

The fact is that over two years ago I emailed Body Miracle to ask them to bring ladies to Philadelphia, something no agency was doing at the time.  It turned out that the owner of the agency was originally from the Philly area, and he contacted me to ask what the "atmosphere" was like in the area.  I made a few phone calls and made some suggestions regarding hotels and such, and based on the information I supplied he decided to make Philly a tour stop, and for my efforts I got a price break... it's a simple as that.  You should try to find out the whole story before making comments.

Regarding negotiating price, I've said it before.  Both the independent ladies and the agencies will negotiate if the conditions are right.  If the lady is sitting in a hotel room with no appointments, she's not happy about it, and nobody is making money.  Often the agencies will be willing to give up a piece of their end to keep the pornstar happy.  If she doesn't do well, she could give up escorting or switch agencies, so it never hurts to ask.  

It used to be that NYC was a gold mine for pornstars, but with the economy in the shithouse things have changed.  I'm not saying that every girl will negotiate, or that an agency will negotiate in every city or in every instance... certain ladies book up where ever they go... but it never hurts to ask.

Instead of making such defensive comments you should read what I said:

"If what San_Te says is true, he should be the last person you should seek advice from".

I can care less how you get your discounts if any, I was only stating what another person, who has been in the hobby far longer than any of us had to say about you and based on his comments if they were all true, you should be the last person one should seek assistance from.

I do appreciate you coming forward with the truth, which shows that San_Te wasn't lying in his comments.

Eddie, I agree the whole story is necessary and I think the readers should be made aware that you have this arrangement with Body Miracle where you don't have to pay the full rate for any of their ladies you wish to book.  CNBC requires analysts for some disclosures these days so maybe this should carry over to our hobby.  Some may not find any problem with your not having to pay Body Miracle any agency fees but others may find it to be a conflict on interest.

I would also like to take a bit of time to add to another post I previously made regarding the free session Body Miracle offered Eddie to see Alexa.  I wanted to make clear it was Eddie who made me and others aware of this offer through back channels.  He could have easily said nothing and taken the deal; he did neither, this was a stand-up thing to do!

Lastly, his advice regarding negotiation is spot on.  I have said it for awhile that the bubble has burst; it has.  The economy is in a world of shit and the ladies spend a lot of time by themselves in their rooms.  Many will negotiate; a reduced rate is better than $0.  Ironically, it was an escort who first told me several years ago to negotiate with agencies.  If they aren't willing to work with you regarding price you can always just pass.  You could always take the 1k or more you just saved and go buy yourself that surrond sound system, big screen TV or whatever you have been checking out lately.

I think if the public knew how bad the economy was the Stock Market would totally go to shit. I wonder what the real unemployment rate is. The one they advertise is a joke - so many people are off the radar because of how long they've been out. And a lot of very educated, experienced people are working for a fraction of what they were making two years ago.

Back to the subject: no one should feel bad saying "that's too rich for my blood" if they can't work out a rate they can accept. Just be upfront about it and treat the agencies/ladies as you would want to be treated. And don't forget to buy your Powerball tickets - over $200 million Saturday. If I win  Kobe Tai and Miko Lee might be able to retire too! Or I'll become a Mormon and marry both of them

I would just like to thank san_te and fast eddie. Personally, I would never have asked a PS for a discount or reduced rate. But, what you guys say makes such perfect sense. There are very few alleged porn stars in my area. The ones that currently work are very expensive. I may call now and see what I can get. Thanks guys.
