Updated Ad Posting Guidlines

We have made some changes to the guidelines, so please read all of the following rules carefully before posting an ad on TER discussion boards.

1) Independent providers may post one ad per week (any 7-day
period). When visiting another city, you may also post one ad
per week on that board to announce your visit. Include the
dates of your visit in the subject line of your ad.

Escort agencies may post one ad per week per region they serve.

Please help us keep it fair by reporting violations of the
limit to the local moderator of the board on which it appears
or to Girl Next Door.

2) You may place your ad on any of the regional boards,
including Other Cities, that are closest to the area you
service or are touring.

Porn Stars may advertise on the Porn Star board, and TSs should
advertise on the Transexual board.

Unsolicited ads are not allowed on other TER discussion boards,
including the National Discussion Board.

3) Your ad must include a link that goes directly to your ad on
an escort mall, to your website, or to your TER review profile.
Your contact information must be on that site.

You may not link to a provider ad that is hosted on another
escort review site.

If you link to your own website (including escort agencies),
that website must be listed in the TER Site Reviews,
http://theeroticreview.com/site_listing/index.asp .

Ads that do not provide a valid, working link will be deleted.
The link must work when the moderator reads it, so please check
it carefully when posting.

4) You must post your own ads. Ads posted by other parties will
be deleted. An exception would be when a lady employs someone
to do her booking and advertising.

5) Please do not write in ALL CAPS.

6) Moderators may delete ads after they expire.

TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgement, delete any ads that, in their opinion, do not follow these guidelines.

By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better.  You may include your link in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, and that does not count toward your ad limit.  In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better.  Just please make those linked messages meaningful, entertaining or helpful contributions.

Thank you,
Girl Next Door

While I can certainly appreciate TER's need to change and modify their posting rules as they grow I think some of their guidelines need to be reconsidered. I have just received notice that we will no longer be posting Ads on TER. We will certainly continue to participate in discussions from time to time but that is all.

We do not wish to have our agency site reviewed or listed in the Site Reviews section of TER or any review site, although we are open to having ladies reviewed if they so desire. As this is one of the new conditions of being able to advertise/post on TER we will gracefully bow out...

As a result, if there are any posters that would like to receive news updates about women of color in the porn business or otherwise that may be touring soon, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] as Miss Love will be canceling my VIP account on TER effective immediately since our ad postings will no longer be allowed.

Thanks,
Jillian Starr

Sorry to see you go Jillian and Sinnamon. I have a suggestion.

Since you are using your site to do casting, might I suggest that Sinnamon simply create a page or pages for TER only that are part of the site but have no links from the main site. A number of pornstars have done similar things and I this falls within the guidelines for TER. The TER review seal would only appear on this one page and no one going through the normal site would ever see it.

I will pass the suggestion on tho Sinnamon as well. We would hate see you both leave.

There is more at stake than merely advertising on this board. Anything that I deem potentially hazard to myself, my business or my clients, (the ladies I work with and represent,) is not something I wish to participate in. I applaud TER's attempt to create free content to make their website an even more viable source but I foresee problems that will arise due to this form of free advertisements... see the email I have sent you.

of the local tour ad in your announcement message instead of that of your site, that should fulfill the TER ad guideline.

You can also use the link to one of your ladies' TER review in the announcement ad.  In most of TER profiles, there is a link to that lady's ad or website.

If I am not mistaken, if you participate in a discussion instead of simply posting an announcement ad, you can include a link to your site in your message.

If the issue of the link to ad malls is addressed clearly then perhaps... However the way it seems no link to any site will be accepted without being listed in the site reviews. Also, some ladies prefer not to be reviewed, and so they would not have a profile to link to.

guideline allows for including link to ads in ad malls.  Only links to personal websites would require that personal site be listed in site reviews.  I think it is partly promotional and partly quality control.

Since Staff and GND allow for link to ads in ad malls, the new policy is more tilted towards issues of quality control, JMHO.

Don't give up on TER.  It might require a little more work to comply with the new ad guideline.  In practice terms, it is not hard to do so. (It won't require you to discard your concern about site review.)

Good luck.
