Porn Stars

legitimate question for providers

do providers (particularly ones who aren't in the film industry anymore) take monthly blood tests for HIV?  if you were positive would you continue in the hobby or leave due to safety issues to clients?

Since sex is covered when providing, I would think they would get one as often as a established non-PS provider would.

Condoms eliminate alot of the need for testing.  So once a person is out of the film business they usually stop testing.
I still test.  Not only for HIV but for EVERYTHING (including oral swabs) on a regular basis.
I don't know any of anyone with HIV that provides as well it should be.  However I know of porn star/providers who have herpes.  So obviously client safety is not an issue with these women.
Do not ask me for names!

well put.
being active in the film industry its mandated that you test every thrity days.and although some rules differ on what test's are due and  when
most of us do a full panel and swab every thirty because hey its our life and i dont want to die or carry luggage around the rest of my life for a few bucks that will be gone in the blink of an eye.

I know some well known high priced PSE's who have herpes and even though it wont kill you, you may wish you were dead if you contract it, and just like in a prize fight when the referee instructs the fighters to come out fighting at the sound of the bell and to protect themselves at all times, it is ture in this hobby as well, gentlemen protect yourself at all times.

as always

Happy Hunting

I know of a few gals that don't film anymore but still get tested like clockwork as I do myself even if I don't film anything the entire month. Full pannel and all.

I would leave the contact-side of the industry immediatley if I tested positive for anything incurable. As for the curable I'd stay away twice as long as the recommended wait time before returning to make sure with 2 tests.

I couldn't live with myself if I hurt someone, and in my opinion, it is hurting someone, especially if you know. I have had to reschedule appts due to a stomach virus and another time due to a really bad head cold.

i was just wondering because i've known people who have gotten hsv-1 (fever blisters/cold sores)on lips, and i would assume this is very common amony hobbyists and providers because it is easy to spread.

i assume most of you all are referring to genital herpes (not fever blisters/cold sores) on your replies?

as far as HIV, i'm always concerned even when covered;  i was wondering if maybe i could ask the provider who i have been with for HIV test results in order for me to reassure i haven't caught anything.

Yes, I meant Genital herpes in my earlier post.

You could ask for her test but your best bet is to just go get your own test to make sure you are fine. AIM has a very fast response time. Make sure you get a follow up test as well since HIV is not detected immediatley after it is contracted but some time later.

Stay Safe and Hugz,
Sarah

thanks for your post,
i don't think i have anything, but i'd like to confirm.

i'm taking a break from the hobby, because i believe i've contracted oral herpes (the type which gives you cold sores on your lip).  you don't realize the dangers until it happens.

The kind of money your spending on PSE's from agencies it should be disclosed. Someones got to be liable. I pay for PSE NOT a change in my medical condition. NO PSE is worth Herpes or any STD. ASK the providers all the questions you want and if they don't answer move on.
