I have my first PSE meeting scheduled for next week and wanted to
see if anyone could share some proper etiquette for the meeting.
Is it the proper custom to bring a gift? This is a meeting through E2K,
so it's costing me a pretty penny already. I just don't want to get off
on the wrong foot. What would be something typical? I'm open to
any suggestions!
Also, is is typical to tip? I would guess it's not like eating out (no pun intended ) where you leave 15% or 20% based on the service. What would an appropriate amount be?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but I couldn't find any FAQs for things
like this and just looking for all the help I can get!
Thanks!
the tip can be a gift and the gift can be a (cash) tip ... so there's really no sense in giving both ... some would say you need'nt give either
if she's a $1500/hr PSE from E2K, she's getting paid plenty (half+ of that) so she really doesn't expect much from you (plus you've already been "gouged" by the agency!)
but if you want to make a "good impression" bring her a gift-certificate from Tiffany's or Neiman-Marcus (~$100 or so)
flowers are always nice (and cheap)
Usually if it was set up with an agency I wouldn't really give anything except maybe flowers or even a single rose or a scented candle, something like that. If it was a direct meeting, a tip or a gift card to Victoria Secret or even Best Buy...... I had one woman ask for a best buy card for session once, wanted to go buy stuff for her new place) So that was a little crazy, going and buying a $800 best buy card
