The pricing structure on PS escort service these days are out of hand. Good old days when PS services would be in the realm of 1.5-1.7 depending on the star power or desirability factor- I had been willing to shell out upto 2.0. Cos then the supply was way less than the demand or the ability to be in the presence of the aura of a PS, a one that you have jerked off numbers of times.
But in todays world, the stable of fresh and newly minted PS escorts with unknown service offerings are averaging 1.5 through agencies ( I guess a better way for not being Bait & Switch).

I've seen ACTUAL PS (not wanna-be's/"flutters") in the RECENT past for bet. $600-800/hr (my reviews are on here to PROVE it).
I've accepted that those days are LONG gone (unless we enter into some kind of SERIOUS depression!)
Where I differ is encouraging others to spend upwards of 3K/hr for a PS session.
While many may feel that it's an INDIVIDUAL right/preference, the fact is, giving into such rates only encourages the "MARKET" to continue charging such EXORBITANT rates, while also encouraging mid-tier/NON-PS pros to also raise their rates.

I have a BA in Econ. I took an upper division class where we delved into the Laws of Supply and Demand for illegal activities.
As I recall, the Price Elasticity of Demand doesn't follow the same patterns as legal goods and services. In other words, there are always going to be people willing to pay significantly above what the normal market price to have sex with a top tier porn girl. This drives the bottom of the market up because no girl thinks she is a bottom tier porn actress. They all glamorize the industry which is pumped up by the fact that they are all called "Porn Stars" even though very few of them ever reach a star status.
Prices are also driven up by opportunity cost. The girls have other ways to monetize their popularity now with Onlyfans and other vehicles where they can sell their name, image and likeness. Because of these other avenues, I think the ones that are willing to escort need more money to be enticed to leave the comfort of their own home (where they can stream, make content... for money) to have sex with some random dude.
My experience has been to book them in their rookie year before they are too popular and rates double or triple. If you are keen on spending time with multiple girls in a certain city, just make sure you get a recent clean test to insure booking.

Just a quick review of this site and others will tell you WHERE the "market" stands.
Apparently, the baseline rate for any self proclaimed "PS" currently starts at $1k/hr, with the avg. actually being $1.2k/hr.
Unfortunately, $2k/hr is becoming more common among actual known PS.
The harsh REALITY is that, unless you're willing to put up those kind of "numbers," you're out of the "game." 
There are two reasons that prices have climbed so high: Reason #1. The agencies. Keep in mind that the agencies add anywhere from $300 to $1000 above the price the porn star wants/gets. The agencies claim that this is because they are paying the hotels, plane fares, and all the other expenses. I say B.S. Long gone are the agencies that don't inflate the prices. I miss TLC. Reason #2. The girls are asking for more money because there are so many guys out there willing to pay those prices. No, I'm not talking about the guys on sites like this one, although some of the guys on here do pay those prices willingly. The guys I'm really talking about are the guys who DON'T use sites like this. The DJTs, the EMs, the CS's of the world who have more money than brains. If you don't know who those guys are, I won't name them, and I don't want to get into political arguments here. Btw, it's not just porn stars. There are a lot of "top escorts" who are not models or porn stars who are asking $1200/hr and up.
There are still quality porn stars who charge $1K OR LESS. They are hard to find, but you can find them if you do the leg work. There is one porn star I know out of the NYC area who charges $900 (or did the last time I talked to her) for full GFE service, including BBFS. No, I won't name her - she's UTR.
The point is that it's not about the economics, it's not about whether or not the girl's are worth it, it's not about COVID, or even the cost of things like hotel rooms, plane fares, makeup, nails, etc. or all the other B.S. that people claim it is. It's about the agencies gouging their customers, and it's about the fact that for every guy who says "no" to the high prices, there's another guy (or two) willing to pay that price.
Disclaimer: I have not dealt with all of the agencies that exist out there who represent porn stars. There may be some that do not gouge clients. But, I have talked to plenty of the agencies, and I've also talked to some of the girls, and I've gotten a lot of "behind the scenes" info from a number of people in the industry/hobby and I'm basing my comments on the info that I have.

It's hard for me to comment on ricing as my circumstances have changed so much. Was a time I was making bank and willing to drop $1500 or so on my obsessions like Abigail Mac, Eva Lovia, Ana Foxx and Aria Rae even though I had access to girls like Alex Tanner, Bella Moretti and Nikki Lee Young for 300.
