Porn Stars

How do you guys deal with it?

So I'm looking into getting some time with a few major pornstars (Amber Rayne, Jennifer White, Jasmine Tame) - I have the money for it ,but am concerned about STDs and such. How do you make sure these ladies are in the clear? Is there a way to verify this before meeting with them?

You could always ask to see their test results . If they are active in porn they have to have current test results less then 15 days old . They probably get tested a hell of a lot more then you do .

They're probably more concerned about you than you should be about them. If they're actively working in the industry then they're being tested regularly. This shouldn't be anything to be overly concerned about with these providers. They'll likely even produce their latest test results upon request. Particularly if you're willing to provide yours in return.

Thanks guys - that's very reassuring and does make sense! Hoping I can land some time with Angel Dark here in the next couple of weeks ;)

I wouldn't bother with Jasmine Tame.  I've had two bookings with her and she's blown me off twice.  I haven't lost money (fortunately) but still, dealing with her seemed a waste of time.

Right, I'm not assuming there will be any unprotected sex, but STDs are not preventable with just a condom either.
I'd rather be safe

It is common knowledge that genital herpes is widespread among porn stars - far more common than in the general population. It is also not included in the standard medical test unless there are lesions present.  Depending on the source, the infection rate is anywhere from 60-90%.  And condoms, as we know, do not provide full protection against this disease, and it can be transmitted even when there are no lesions present.

Your risk of getting it is still not high in the big picture, but in my mind, it is higher than it would be with other top escorts.

You have to judge the risks for yourself, but I would be very careful with pornstars, especially if I were a married man.  Most STD's you can clear up in short order and the wife will be none the wiser, but herpes is with you forever and the missus WILL find out

"It is common knowledge that genital herpes is widespread among porn stars - far more common than in the general population."

 Your statement is incorrect!

According to the CDC (center for disease control) "In the United States, about one out of every six people aged 14 to 49 years have genital herpes."

Let me put it this way...there's so many people with genital herpes, that even legal brothels in Nevada don't test their prostitutes for it.  Why?  Because not many, if any, would pass the STD testing for genital herpes.

Fuck a woman, with or without a condom, that you pick up in a bar...and the odds are high, you'll contract genital herpes.

Genital Herpes is NOT "far more common" in the porn community...it is a worldwide incurable epidemic!
I'm not sure what the issue is.  If the CDC says that 1 in 6 have it - then that's about 17%.  Estimates for the porn industry are anywhere from 60-90%.  So, yes, genital herpes is far more common in the porn industry than in the general population.  Fuck a woman in a bar and there's a 1 in 6 chance that you are exposed.  Fuck a porn star, and it's anywhere from a coin toss to a guaranty that you're exposed.

Mintyfreshness, I don't get it...what's your point in posting on the 'Porn Star Discussion Board' and  criticizing porn stars, if you have no interest in having sex with them because they're such high risk for STD's?

IMHO...you're like an atheist, ranting about religion in a Southern Baptist Church!
I am not criticizing anyone, and as a hobbyist, I am hardly like an atheist ranting about religion at church.  The OP expressed a concern for STDs regarding porn stars, and I am merely presenting a realistic and honest assessment of the risk.  The OP, like everyone else here, is free to then make up his own mind about the level of risks he will tolerate in the hobby.  We are all adults and can make up our own minds about what risks we are willing to accept, but the decision should be based on accurate information.  To pretend that the risk is the same or higher in the civvie world is simply inaccurate, and it serves no one's interest to spread inaccurate information
