I'm sorry to be the bearer of some horrible news, but Amber Rayne passed away yesterday. She was one of my dearest friends and confidantes. For such a small woman, she had the biggest heart I knew. I will forever miss her smile, her goofiness, her laugh, and her immeasurable compassion. Those of you who also knew her will share those sentiments I'm sure. God bless you, Meg, and my you eternally be comforted in God's loving presence. I miss you so much.

I can't believe this! I've only known Amber for about 6 months or so, but the times that I did get to hang out with her were filled with a lot of wonderful, special moments, and I agree with Pleased To Meet You that she had a HUGE heart and wonderful smile! I am absolutely heart broken over this....!

I just met her myself, we had dinner a few weeks ago and was impressed by how sweet, intelligent and engaging she was. Condolences to those who were close to her.

I met Amber once,  4 years ago....She had one of the most down to earth, easy going & friendly personalities you'll ever meet,  whether its industry related or not....A good person w/a good heart...

Just horrible news and tragic.

   A friend of mine sent me the link about her passing earlier yesterday, mind you I just got o read it a liyyle bit ago. She was one of the PS on my bucket list I wanted to see. I was in shock when I read about her passing away.  Even though we had not met in person, we used to talk often on her twitter. I always enjoyed her convos there about the Raiders, SJ Sharks, and her horses. I considered her one of the most beautiful and sweetest people to talk to on twitter, so I agree w/your statements on here about Amber. We had tried to meet during avms the last 2 years so that i could give her york peppermint pstties (her fave) like I promised her I would. It breaks my heart I wont get the chance to meet her now, like you, I miss my dear twitter friend ((

This is very sad news, and I hope her family is doing ok.  I have known her for a few years, and she seemed to have so many great things happening for her recently.  She will be missed.

We had plans this coming week to catch the GnR opening show in LV. This is a total shock. She was such a sweetheart.

On her wikipedia page, it mentioned she passed away in her sleep. However another news source states she collapsed in front of one of her friends that afternoon so its hard to say which is correct.  The results of her autopsy are still being examined currently.

I just found out about her passing and cant believe it. I had just talked to her just a week ago. She was such an awesome person and I had been trying to meet her for a few months now. Always such a joy to talk to.

In the article, while not the cause, it mentions she had tweeted about her battle with uterine cancer and the effects Chemo had on her.  If she had been in pain and taking prescription pain meds that may have led to some more serious problems

I was introduced to her a couple of months ago through a good friend of hers, had the pleasure of spending some time with here and kept in touch via text.  Just a great, caring person that this world will miss.

...I can see why Prince broke down. That sh*t is surreal. I never met Meg, but always got the vibe she was cool as fu*k. And it seems from everyone both in and out of the industry, that was 1000% the case. These tragedies suck as it is, but this particular one hit hard.

... I heard she was gone. I've had the pleasure of her company more than a handful of times over the years, and I mean more than just awesome fun sex. I don't think we shared the same taste in music, but TV shows and entertainment always generated good discussion. I'm no hockey fanatic, but I don't think I see anything hockey related on TV without immediately thinking about Amber. I know it wasn't her real name, but.... That screen name notwithstanding, she was one of the most genuine people I've come across and more accomplished than I could have comprehended all those years ago. My heart sinks at her passing, but was happy to have known her. Goodbye Meghan Wren
