This As** Hat sat on his fat a*s when those 20 precious innocent children were killed in Newtown Elementary School or those innocent movie goers in Aurora, CO or those innocent people praying in a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, WI.     Now that one of his close family member is shot to death, he wants US Senate to help pass law!

This guy and the NRA have blood on their hands of thousands of innocent men, women and children who lost their lives and are going to lose their lives from guns.

The tragedy of guns in this country is "right without any responsibility or liability".

The tragedy of guns in this country is "right without any responsibility or liability"? Really?!? Last I checked, murdering someone with a gun is a crime! Brandishing a weapon is a crime. Assault with a deadly weapon is a crime. Guess what? Manslaughter is a crime too! Who wouldda thunk it!

Of course, there is a flip side of this coin. There are thousands, perhaps millions of Americans who use firearms for self-defense every single year.

I'd like to introduce you to someone. His name is Paul Ali Slater. Slater is a Georgia man who decided it would be a real good idea to break into people's homes. He broke into a house that had a mother and her two children inside. The mother grabbed a revolver, and hid herself and her children in her home's attic. Slater decided it would be a damn fine idea to come after them. She fired 6 shots at him, striking him 5 times in the face and neck. It wasn't until the 5th round that hit him, that he decided to retreat. Slater left the house and drove away, crashing his car down the road. He was later apprehended and is now serving time in prison.

Had this woman not learned how to use a firearm her and her children would now be dead. Do tell me, csekhar, did her and children DESERVE TO DIE?

The 'Gun' did not jump into his hand. It did not load itself, nor did it automatically take aim at his target. IT was obtained, controlled and misused by a person violating and side-stepping several established "laws" to do so.

Unless you can 100% guarantee that no felonious minded person can ever get possession of a gun don't even THINK for a moment about taking them away from the law abiding

You find me a single 2nd Amendment advocate that would say that this guy was acting in self-defense. He wasn't. He committed a crime. People commit crimes all the time.

But do tell me, csekhar, did this little ole lady, DESERVE TO DIE?

There is a reason why the right of self-defense is a fundamental part of our Constitution. After all, if you have the right to your very life, then you have the right to protect and defend your life.

It assumes that the only people who are dangerous are those who are armed. This is not the case. Criminals routinely kill and maim people all the time, with nothing more than using their fists and feet. Even if you could 100% guarantee that no felonious minded person would ever get their hands on a gun, guns would still be required for innocent law-abiding citizens to protect themselves from them.

You just don't like the implications of my post. Gun control sounds all happy until you see real people being FORCED to use a firearm to PREVENT THEIR OWN DEATHS. When you see this, it becomes clear that advocating for gun control is the same thing as advocating for the deaths of innocent law abiding citizens.

So, AF, I will ask you the same question I asked the OP. Did this child DESERVE TO DIE?
