Donald Trump's speech today had the first coherent & significant language that he has spoken for more than a year, & of course we all know someone ells must have written it.
Sorry DD that was as close as I could come to a complement for your daddy.
1. Significant stock market drop, which will usually precipitate a recession. The party in control of the White House usually doesn't win reelection. Look at 2008, 2000, 1992, 1980. The best way to indicate a future recession is the bond market. It is the most impartial indicator out there. Look at the yield curve, more specifically a flat yield curve, which moves to an inverted curve. Now that I say that, Janet Yellen has fucked up the most pure and logical way to look at the future health of the economy.
2. A significant terrorist act. No, Istanbul doesn't count.Meanwhile the stock market is leveling off, Benghazi reports don't look good for Killary, and yet another terrorist attack that libs can't blame on guns.
It was an embarrassing performance by Gowdy. Basically, they proved nothing and there was no news out of the report. As for the stock market, it was a really good day, but are you suggesting that helps Drumpf? How?
The terror attack was awful but they did use guns before they went to their bombs. Standard ISIS practice.
Looks like you just swung and missed. Three times.
I like what you posted, and agree in principle. All other things being equal, the party in office will probably loose if the markets take a sudden dip. I wonder if this would be an exception, because the unfavorables on Trump are based on some very basic factors, not just the rudeness and vagueness that the media seems to laugh at.
The other thing, you're absolutely right about the quantitative easing Yellen has been involved with, and the reluctance to raise interest rates--generally manipulating the rates in any way--but there has ALWAYS been some element of the economy that affected what should be the natural flow of interest. Rates now, left to whim, would not be that high, one could argue, because inflation is quite low and deflation is a more worrisome consideration. In general, if Trump and his White Nationalist pals gain more power we are going to move into some very undesirable times. I really don't believe any of us can see down the road what it will look like exactly, but to me it looks like the type of suppression I lived through back in the 50's. Of course it won't be a total blast from then past, but that and a few other things going on could make it very very ugly for almost everybody. Maybe you're one of the ones who feel you'll get through it. And it will probably come down harder on me than on most. But I don't think much of anyone would have a fun time. Here's a link to The Times story on the Benghazi report. Burp.
I guess you'd rather fling insults than respond with an actual fact.
My work is done here.
You're the only Hooker on TER who will give him a courteous reply without payment in advance.
As long as someone is giving him some attention, whether good or bad, he's doing immeasurably better than he does on the streets, where he's swept out of the way and ignored like vermin.
I stand by my OP.
And yet it was still an epic fail. But I do appreciate your letting me know I have your feeble attention. I was afraid you were ignoring me as I serially ridiculed your pathetic excuses for posts on this board.
PS: Glad to see you are "back on your feet."
Except for the blue balls. Remember that Lobster? When you got back from the Ladies Room you said the "Thermidor sauce" was "a bit salty." LMAO!
& if you are the Donald you have even less to work with under the haystack.
You OTOH are far from annoying in person, but then again I haven't spent weeks getting drunk with you every day.
And you are totally annoying in person. And so is Dev.
That's why I like you both.
Your problem is you are both stupid, right-wing douche-bags.
You would be better served as chum for the Chica Bananas in the Parque Morazon. And Dev would better be served as Croc food at the Rio Tarcoles Bridge.
I'm just here to help.
