Matt yesterday I was looking at the power lines that sit about twenty feet off the ground above my house. Then I thought about the gas line running under my feet, that supplies NG gas to my home.

Great you actually thought about something for a change.  Power lines and gas lines.  Hmm,  even if the gas line was exposed would it be possible to concentrate enough of the gas for it to ignite from a line that isn't causing sparks?  When was the last time there was a down PowerLine that ignited a gas line underground?  Rofl

May be they will kill each other make the world a better place.

Go make contact with an ovethead power line and see what happens. You already saw what a natural gas explosion looks like.

When was the last time you saw a powerline ignite a gas pipe?  If people who designed those things were JCA I'd be worried. :P  

Fact an American citizen has a greater chance of being killed by a commodity, in this case energy. Than they have being killed by a bullet fired from a gun.

Is this a reason to ignore the dangers of gun possession and gun safety?  

If someone in an armed society is not "polite" they simply get their ass blown off.  

But more people come in contact with sources of energy, then they do firearms on a daily basis.
