He went on O'Reilly tonight and took responsibility. I’d call it a full but qualified admittance of responsibility. I can see why he did it. The guy was only 16 or 17 when given a 100 year setence which was commuted to a 50 year term, but then it made him eligible for parole. Sounds like the justice system had failed several times since then to correct Hukabee’s mistake.

But it’s most likely over for Huckabee. Many on the right already thought he’s too liberal socially (except for abortion). And the left will be hypocrites on this and spin this to their benefit. Huckabee’s toast on both extremes.

I thought he’d hit his stride on FOX weekends. Much more likeable now than during the campaign. Generally true of most ex-politicians.
