I believe he would have been judged as much better by many Americans, including me, if he hadn't looked every time Cheney pointed.

 I have a feeling  Biden will  run for President in 2016 especially if Hillary's ill health shows up  before campaign season.  Biden is definitely gaffe prone with an often deer in the headlights  
look, but he's not  stupid.  
 He won't find any extra votes from Democrats by mocking or not supporting  President Obama.
