for those who support it and pass it. For the Republicans, a promise kept to their base, and a greater probability of a successful terrorist attack, which they can blame on President Obama.

How many billions.......spent  and on into the future....

And we have  as yet to catch a single terrorist attempt at any of our airports...

I suppose that's because we are doing a really good job at SCARING them..

I am not going to do your research for you, but the L.A. Times alone has had lots of stories of plots that were disrupted all around the country.  From Fort Dix to Kennedy Airport to at least a dozen other places.

They may not have been in a terminal about to board American Airlines, but yes, there have been lots of arrests and guilty pleas.

All were plots that would have killed many people.

I was talking about at the airport.....thats where I was.

As to the rest of what the LA times has to say I can only guess.

But if you would like a fairly comprehnsive report please go here.

You were talking about wasted money.  Yes, there have been not incidents in Terminal X at Kennedy, but that doesn't mean the money was wasted.

They disrupted scores of plots to kill people and I don't care if they plot was at LAX or Fort Dix.

How much money do we throw at it is the question.

5 billion a year on cancer research in the US

540,000 deaths in the US per year due to cancer.

Seems to me we are spending a lot of money for very little return in the case of homeland security.

Of course thats just me.....
