Open Question: Do we have free will?

I won't comment on this, I'd like to hear what others have to say on this topic.

Often we make decisions thinking that our reasoning is the only basis in which we've made it. Salesman, and advertisers are hoping you'll continue to believe that! ;)

At other times, our behavior takes a course not fully thought out, but more from a deep gut feeling, or even before we've becoming aware of the feeling, from an unconscious psycho-physiological response. Read Malcolm Gladwell's book, "Blink," the section called Fast and Frugal, pgs. 8-10, for a good example. ;)

You are not going to comment, you need to wait and see what others think to form your opinion since you are not an independent thinker, little Walter-boywilly-Mitty.

You’re welcome

Think of an animal. It could be any animal.

Was it the Komodo dragon? No? Why wasn't it the Komodo dragon? Did you have free will NOT to choose the Komodo dragon?

Discuss.

So, I was thinking of vagina.  A black one and a white one.  I really wasn't in full control of my will because biology had kicked in and forced me to desire sex.  Then I considered gee, the black vagina will require me to travel to a part of town where there is a higher probability I would get mugged.  The white one will be in a safer environment but I may have to deal with arrogance.  All things considered, I did not have free will at all, so I chose a Korean vagina but had to deal with the taste of kimchi on her lips.

So I conclude no free will here.  All decisions have some consequence therefore I am not free to choose "unless" I accept the consequences alas no free will.

If it is what it sound like... still don't know.
Would it be like doing what you chose to do by yourself?
But then what about society, laws and others around?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

It's like if you believe you don't have free will
and you choose not to choose... you still have made a choice.. then you have free will too.

just listen to this song:

We all have thoughts, and we think in words. At this moment I am thinking about what I'm going to write. Hopefully, when I get done, it will be a coherent sentence.

What are you thinking right now? Did you have free will to think it? In order to have free will to think it, then doesn't that mean you'd have to think about what you're thinking before you think it?

No.  My brain automatically tells me what I'm thinking about, then my "will" tells me to stay with it or move on to whatever my brain has next in queue.

I have free will most of the time .
I don't need an ignore button to ignore someone .

I'm often compulsive with pussy.  :-D
