What do you expect from a judiciary that gave us Citizens United?

A Superior Court judge who sentenced a wealthy du Pont heir to probation for raping his 3-year-old daughter noted in her order that he "will not fare well" in prison and needed treatment instead of time behind bars, court records show.

Judge Jan Jurden's sentencing order for Robert H. Richards IV suggested that she considered unique circumstances when deciding his punishment for fourth-degree rape. Her observation that prison life would adversely affect Richards was a rare and puzzling rationale, several criminal justice authorities in Delaware said. Some also said her view that treatment was a better idea than prison is a justification typically used when sentencing drug addicts, not child rapists.
Disgusting! Poor people don't fare well in prison either. The judge should be impeached and removed from the bench ASAP.

I'm never too sure what to believe, when it comes to the courtroom antics of the rich & famous.

...counts, right?  What do you suppose the reaction of the cold dead handers would be if someone posted something so antithetical to the Second Amendment?

Would any of you gun advocates care to defend the Eighth Amendment as vigorously as you do the Second Amendment?

Code for 'he won't be there more than a couple of days before he's shived.' I wonder if she has the same concerns for those less monetarily endowed? She's a smart woman, and must know that there's little effective treatment for the likes of him.

Many people have a very visceral response to molestation and it has nothing to do with amendments. I wouldn't be against exacuting them as most will reoffend. There is nothing that tears a child's life apart more save maybe both parents dying...
