Anyone else remember this Richard Pryor skit? Oh yeah, he didn't need a teleprompter either, LMFAO.

...stereotyping just aren't funny today.

Likewise, I still love Richard Prior, even "Mudbone", but that old skit from the first episode of his TV series is  very dated (BTW it was 1977).  It was easy to do such an over-the-top skit because, at the time, it was out of the realm of possibility for a black person to become President.  The last question in the press conference is especially cringeworthy.

Jersey, I'm sure you, El Rushbo and others of your ilk will find the skit funny today. In fact, fess up, you found it on a conservative website, didn't you? I'm sure it'll be on Fox News soon as a riposte to SNL's GOP debate skit.

Here's a link to another comedy bit which will also have you "ROFLMAO."

BP, wow, you're on top of it today. Yep, I still think it's funny, but I found it while searching for other Pryor skits on youtube. Specifically, the one about Dracula and the wino.

I enjoy comedy from all sources, especially from those comics of the past. Flip Wilson was one of my favorites, as was Rickles, Newhart, Carson, Skelton, Goble, Berman, Carlin, Williams, etc. Today's comics just aren't funny to me.

Didn't care much for your link....not funny to me. Same for Amos and Andy. Didn't like their humor either. To each his own......

That skit got me thinking, now this may have been discused before.

Do you think President Obama would have been elected, or have been electable if Michelle were white?Or would it make a difference?

Such an interesting question you pose, what would the outcome of the election have been if Michelle Obama was a white woman. I'm sure that you would get so many divided responses. I know that within my group of Black girlfriends, they would most likely consider him a "sell out" the way the do when the see Black men dating White women. I wonder if amongst White conservatives if he would be more acceptable as a candidate since his wife would have been White? It sure does bring up some interesting conversations around race relations, politics and marriage.

By the way, really enjoyed the clip with Richard Pryor as President!
