if we ("the left") say we hate Bush, then that means that we're really saying that Bush is just like Obama.

No. It doesn't mean that. It doesn't mean that at all. If Twittle Dee hates the color red, then he hates the color red. Period. End of story. There is no connection whatsoever to hating the color blue. Hating the color blue has as much to do with this as the price of tea in China.
