On Saturday in Dallas, four women belonging to Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America met in a suburban restaurant to discuss strategy.

The group's social media page was infiltrated to find out the time and location.  The women looked out of the restaurant to see at least 24 people openly carrying long guns because Texas does not allow open carry of handguns (yet).

and were simply exercising both their first and second amendment rights. The nerve of them., not the armed protester, but those women conspiring to deprive the rest of us of our constitutional rights.

BTW I don't see any mention of any arrests or gunfire, so is is safe to assume that these armed protestors were peaceful and broke no laws?

Suppose 4 men met at a restaurant, all of whom belonged to a pro-life organization, who had met to discuss strategy on how to deprive women of their Constitutional right to have an abortion?

Suppose women got word of this and protested outside the restaurant.

Would you see this as a) appropriate or b) shameful?

All rights are sacred. It doesn't matter if you happen to agree with them or not. If you don't think they're sacred, or worth having, then chances are you don't exercise those rights. So if you in favor of limiting any right, we can say right from the outset that what you're really in favor of is taking away the rights of others.

This is a fundamentally anti-American viewpoint. The right of self-defense is just as important as the right of privacy, or the right of self-determination.

Someone can say something you find despicable, but the only respectable position is to say that you disagree with that view, but you are willing to do whatever necessary to ensure someone has the right to say it.

Rights are sacrosanct. No one should be in the business of trying to eliminate them. It is simply unpatriotic.

There is no right that I despise more than the right of someone to attend a church. I hate organized religion. But if it were necessary, I would give up my life to ensure that every American has the right to attend a church.

Our rights is what makes this country what it is. It is the common bond that ties us all together. We have liberties that are unparalleled with any other nation on earth. Many nations come close, but all fall short.

You don't have to agree with the right of self-defense. But if you work to take away that right, you are shitting on your own country.

Between the 'Reds' wanting too 'control' EVERYTHING in my personal life via moral sanctimony and the the "Patriot Act", AND the 'Blues' wanting to 'Regulate' EVERYTHING else; I'm willing to FIGHT to preserve MY 2nd Amendment RIGHTS with the business end of my 'Gun' if need be.

The "Patriot Act" requires/allows employers with 200 or more employees to look up a job applicants Ass with a 1080p HD Endoscope. A "National Gun Registry" will undoubtedly give another invasive tool for employers to use against whoever doesn't fit their individual or collective corporate 'Political agenda'.
