He was ranting about the Grammys going “woke.” He was referring to the fact that country singer Luke Combs was up for a Grammy for “Fast Car.” Combs was performing the song at the Grammys but the righty complained that the Grammy libtards DEI’d him by making him sing the song with a Black woman.
Like most righties, this guy was ignorant. He didn’t know the woman was Tracy Chapman. She actually wrote the song and had a big hit with it in 1988. But the righty kept ranting about it until my mind was shot. It’s nuts!!
Hey that's a great story. Just a great story indeed. Funny thing you mentioned it. I too was talking to a fellow leftie yesterday about up and coming music stars of 2023. He was unaware of one young man completely dominating the charts of his hit single "Rich Men North of Richmond" its a song he wrote highlighting the accomplishments of the democratic party. Fast Car is about the Democrat demographic... chick's mom abandoned family, dad is an unemployed alcoholic. Chick is attracted to guy with fast car, hooks up with him, but he never gets a job and is also perma-drunk and she supports him with her low wage job. It's a Democrat Party Anthem.
