The issue will never make it to a federal ballot.

and Fla will get it next time.

My religious bible belt state won't even put medical marijuana on the ballot.  but it is so great to see other states making their voice heard.   Republicans in Ga just haven't figured out a way for the pharmecutical companies to make the profit instead of the growers having access to recreational weed that anybody can grow inside year around for no cost.  Decriminialize Ga!  Pot smokers are harmless to self and others :)

The 'for profit' incarceration industry looks to lose a helluva lot of money with Cannabis's continued medical acceptance or general legalization. Ultimately the pre-employment drug testing industry and standards will need be changed. (How can you give the "OK" on a zombified candidate on Zoloft or narcotic pain killers yet say "Nay" on a person with a prescription for Cannabis?). Presently it is "Jim Crow" law personified!

BTW; Growing "indoors" is very costly due to the electric lighting needed. However; simply two, healthy, moderate sized, 'outdoor' grown plants can supply a user with well over a pound. THIS is why there is no real profit for Big Pharma or tobacco industry. Making it legal to buy; but illegal to grow in the most modest amounts would be quite revealing as to who the government was/is trying to protect, and for so long.

Watch what Washington DC does. There is a reason why pot will never be legal at the federal level.

since nothing gets down in DC.  I am not worried about the Obama administration, but if we get a Republican in office that is not liberty minded then they will have a hay day on the Federal level.  We shall see

Neither party Democrat or Republican is going to change federal policy.

they will pick up the issue.  I really hope that Rand Paul will, because I know some of those looney tune conservatives we sent to congress and senate will try to continue a failed drug war, thumping and checking their bible, and really don't beleive in smaller government after all.

They could run on the issue, and loose. The WHO along with the UN have to support the issue, not just the WH and AG.

and it freaked me the fuck out, I couldn't get out of that house quick enough.  I knew if he was busted, they would throw my ass under the jail too.

I agree that the power bill would be higher, that is actually what gets growers tipped off when their electric bill gets higher in a home.

As far as employment, if you live in a state that gives a medical card to use cannabis oil or weed.  That should be looked at the same way as a prescription for narcotics.  IMO

but if I was in charge, I would let couples in therapy experiment with ecstasy (that is not addictive, just need to clear 48 hrs for the experience and recovery time) to revive a lost sex life.

It has also shown benefits with PTSD with returning veterans, to wipe out unpleasant memories.

Unfortunately 'Your Opinion' is not the case. The corporatocracy with their authoritarian, post 9/11 Patriot Act mindset considers ANY amount of metabolized Cannibins in the urine the same as cocaine, Meth or heroine addiction. A doctor's prescription mean absolutely nothing.

In Washington State the amount of active Cannibins found in the blood/urine 24 hours after smoking a single joint is enough for a DUI conviction. The opposition to the recent pro-Marijuana vote was largely by those who used it medicinally with a prescription. You now have an entire demographic of citizens who are in constant peril of a DUI conviction because they medicated/smoked it as much as several DAYS prior.  The myopic minded prohibitionists, authoritarians and "For Profit" incarceration industry is NOT giving up without a fight.

Lets not talk about the economy, illegal aliens, budget, terrorism and unemployment. Pot legalization is the real priority! (insert sarcasm
