The church doesn't like people to grow up

Bishop John understands that hell doesn't exist except in the imagination, and religion has used punishment and reward to control and guilt.  He has a deep understanding that we are in an adolescence stage of evolution.

In the late 80s, you could see her for a pass of the hat at the Georgetown Canal  concerts doing covers of popular hits. I remember her cover of Time after Time with only her guitar as accompaniment, and even a version of Paul Simon’s Kathy’s song.

She was a much better guitar player than the usual girl singer, working out her own fingerpicking arrangements to these songs. Kathy's Song takes some work.

Her later booking at Blues Alley made no sense at all bc she wasn’t jazz and she wasn’t an $18 dollar cover charge but when I saw her she was great.

Later, word spread in the folk community that she was sick, and one day came the report that she was gone. RIP Eva

...but that doesn't mean that we still don't have a long way to go. Believe it or not, there's still people in Africa who believe in witchcraft. Sadly, if you ask people like Pat Robertson, there's people in the USA who still believe in it too.

But there is a certain attitude I've noticed that some people will feel free to criticize organized religion, and that criticism will give more credence to their own "spirituality".

I suppose it's better to belong to an unorganized religion than an organized one, but ultimately, it's still believing in nonsense.

It seems to me that the best way to free your mind from it's chains is to throw off all the nonsense. Horoscopes is just as nonsensical as Christianity. Dousing rods can't really find water. And a broken mirror won't give you 7 years bad luck.

It is better to accept reality on reality's terms. And if that doesn't work, you can always repack the bong. :)

I would love to pack a bowl with you sometime, put down our ego's and talk quantum physics.  I think you may have enough science in your brain for your brain to contain it all.  ;)

I bought a voodoo-doll once.  Yes it's ludicrous that a piece of wood could have any power.  I could feel a bad energy in my home (of course I created it with my thoughts), so I threw her in an outside garbage can with rotten chicken.  If you ever get high with me, I would love to tell you the voodoo-doll story.  LOL

Hey Madison. I'd love to do that, too. I don't get the chance to travel often, but if you ever decide to do a little east coast touring, let me know. :)

and have a beautiful niece there ;)  I would love to share some hashish and talk.

i go see cheap apartment girls. Hispanics and all have some kind of altar or candles, saints etc.
Twice I've seen men working shoes in the apt. Plants that are supposed to bring luck, amulets, incense, and weird stuff.

A TER girl I saw years ago told me se was a Wiccan and many providers are. That her religion is more accepting of her work.

I find it funny how women are more to adhere to religion than men. many they are more spiritual and stuff. But haven't they been victimized more by religion throughout history?

That and repacking the bong, you're right

Is a term used , and adopted, bye those who wish to do as they please, when they please, to whom they please without the fear of accountability. So where is it that Satan resides? Besides my town lol
